What are Preferences & Surveys?
Preferences and Surveys are powerful tools that work together to help you collect zero-party data from your customers. This data can be used to personalize your marketing efforts and improve customer experiences.
- Preferences: Data points that customers can provide about themselves.
- Surveys: A set of questions built from your preferences that customers can answer.

Setting Up Preferences & Surveys
1. Set Up Customer Preferences
Preferences are the building blocks for your surveys. Set these up first.
- Go to your Status admin
- Click on Preferences
- Click Add preference
- Choose an option:
- Select from default preferences OR
- Click Create preference at the bottom for a custom one
- Configure your preference:
- For surveys, use Single choice or Multiple choice types
- Other available types: Text, Checkbox, Date, Number, Measurement
- Click Save
Repeat this process for all the preferences you want to use in your survey.
